I'm wondering about the same thing. I quickly captured whatever I could find from the Top Speed video featuring the GT-R and the Stig:

Maserati ML12 1:18.4
R35 GT-R 1:19.7
Ferrari Scuderia 1:19.7
Lambo LP640 1:19.8
911 GT3 RS 1:22.3
Corvette Z06 1:22.4
Ferrari 430 1:22.9
AM DB95 1:23.9
Audi R8 1:24.4

Of course those times blow away the Z, but I couldn't really find anything else to compare it to. I searched and found typical drivers getting around 1:57 lap time with the GT-R, and an Audi R8 getting 2:10 both in less than favorable weather conditions.

Fuji Wiki doesn't show much besides records.

One of the biggest problems they faced during this track testing was the oil temparature fail-safe mode. When the oil temparature reach 135 degrees, the engine goes into "safe mode" letting you rev only up to 5900 RPM. I was told that G37s also suffers from the same problem. No worries though. Mine is working on this issue. Oh also, they were using a prototype LSD for the Z34 as well

LSD has been replaced, but at this stage details for the prototype were not disclosed.

A lot of activity is going on in Japan. Biggest advantage they have is that the car is already on sale over there. Meaning, one can wake up in the morning and bring the car home the same day.

Many tuner/performance companies already taken the Z apart. 5zigen even Dynoed the 370Z already!

Come on Nissan, put the car on sale here in the US already!!!

Very interesting. So this implies that the 370Z has an oil temperature sensor (the 350Z only had a coolant temp sensor, I believe).

Also, is the temperature gauge for the 370z an OIL temp or COOLANT/water temp gauge?

the 370z has 2 gauge for temp . the first one for coolant and it is the with the fuel gauge. and the other is the oil temp gauge and it is on the dash board with 2 other gauge (1 is for time and other is for voltage )

Damn, that's one quiet car. It's gonna need some N1's to wake it up a bit.
