hi guys, just wondering if anbody has driven at Mission Raceway. I was informed about Perfromance Drivers car club and see they have several track days throughout the year. has anybody atended one of these and if so how were they?

 

I did one of the track days when I owned my G35. It was a full day and was a lot of fun. Started out with threshold braking, slalom driving and then apexing. The whole day (as a novice) was with an instructor in the car.

I'm planning to do it again now that I have a Z... probably in Sept/Oct.

Was worth the cost and has changed my driving style a little... and it's nice to know your car's limits.

I believe the track day was called the "Perfect Lap". Check out http://www.morrisport.com/main.html --- I noticed that they don't seem to have a 2006 schedule posted.

 

been there many, many times. Fun track, but kinda small. It builds up your skills and confidence for bigger racetracks though. (e.g. Leguna Seca )

Doubtful that I will be able to make the June event as I'm moving aruond that time, but please do post up future events. I'm definitely going to be heading out to Mission on a regular once I get settled in so it would be great to roll with other Z / G owners.

 

I ran with that club for 2 years in my Z, the club was very well organized and the track itself is quite fun to drive. Just prepare good brakes with proper race pads because the track eat pads for breakfast, lunch and dinner
