Nissan dealers won't honor warranties if purchased in the US. You're not the first Canuck to come up with this idea. At the very least, hire a broker before you get to the border, and make sure its done before 5pm but the auto import dept on the CDN side closes early. (been there done that)

Been there... done that in May '06.

Paperwork has to arrive 72 hours before car does at border... or park it.
Nissan warranty is transferable provided the car was registered with a previous owner for a minimum of 6 months -- I've had all work done under warranty including new engine.

I saved $8K by importing myself... after paying duties, taxes, import fees, inspection fees, DRL install, etc.
