Default when to put on the zacks?????

Well I have my Blizzacks in stock, they arrived at the local disount tire yesterday, and are ready to be put on. SWEEETTTT!!!!!

Now for the kicker. If I understand things right snow tires are to be driven in the snow (DUH!!!!). The weather here in Ohio has been extremely weird this year as in much of the country. Now i know them weathermen/women arent genuises but I looked at the 7 day forecast for our area and we arent supposed to get below 45 degrees for at least another week. I dont do a crazy amount of driving, but enough to where a weeks worth on snow tires on pavement might not be the best thing.

What should I do???? Get them on now or just pick them up and throw them in the garage untill the forecast takes a turn for the worse? I know i got a great deal on these but they were still pricey compared to other tires, and I would like to preserve them as much as possible. to use them next year also.

Know what I mean??

well once again discount tire came through. Jeez i am turning into a personal advertiser for them. but hey when people do a good job and go beyond the call to make sure the buyer is happy i believe other people need to know about it cause i am in the same business. when i help people out i love it when they give my clinic good recommendations.

anyway the point is the guy at discount recognizes that putting the snows on now would be too soon cause of the nice weather. he told me that he has no problem storing them there as long as he needs to so i dont have to lug them back and forth. of course i have to go there and pay for them, but still i thought that was great!!!!

Just take them home and store them in your garage. Keep an eye out on the weather, so when it does take a turn for the worse... you can easily swipe them yourself (I'm assuming you got them with wheels?) I wouldnt store them at Discount tire unless you dont have any space. You could easily run into this sceanario: What if you get hit by a snowstorm one morning? When you realized it the day before, DT was already closed. You'll be stuck! Sometimes we only get a day notice with snow...Also, stock tires are not great in the cold...so be careful.
