I actually like the guy's wheels on here, he has a lambo orange car with 20" black J-line wheels. I can't remember his name.

The first wheels were hot as hell on that G35....and I agree with the comment on Volks, everybody and their grandma has them , while they are nice, they are sooooo played out. Ive seen so many Volks since I got on this board Im beginning to hate them---just my opinion. Be more original people !

Thanx!

Oh, you saw it right. The picture was taken after I slammed the car for like 3" front and back, and didn't get the alignment done yet. Within 24 hours after I drop the car, I raised it back up and settle at 1.5" lower than stock height since I was scraping my Veilside V1 CF lip everywhere and even cracked it, and then I got my car aligned so it looks perfectly normal now. Even at 1.5" lower than stock height, my rear camber was like -5'

I also think gold/bronze wheels are out of the question on a Z for "wheels of the year". I mean the car has silver door handles and brushed aluminum accents everywhere, gold wheels just don't look right. (On a G they look hot since it's a solid painted car).

I vote for wheels like the J5, J8, Do-Luck, and MAYBE even Volk's if they're face II. Concave wheels in the rear look rad!!!
What the hell is face II?

Okay, thanks for your input, I hope your post wasnt directed at me. First off, have you even seen gold volks on a Z in person? The LE37s in particular have a polished lip that match the color of the brushed aluminum accents. And for the record, gold isn't supposed to match the car, its supposed to stand out, and as you say it, look "RAD" with the concave wheels in the rear.

It seems like you have an inferiority complex when it comes to a Z rolling on "volks". Especially since, according to you, everyone's grandma has them on their cars as well. For the record, there are only 4 sets of gold volk LE37s in the country, so I guess your grandma doesn't have them on her car after all (idiot - population you). Sounds to me like you are a little jealous. So what rims do you have on your G that makes you so qualified to make these assumptions?

face II is available on some of volks wheels...i think it comes in 9.5 widths and up

face I means no concave spokes...face II means concave

and i vote for the g35 guy with the 20" gold iforged aeros

it seems that 5-spokers compliment the Z a lot and i think that the aeros are the nicest ones

Seems like a lot of guys are voting for him but I didn't see any pic of it? Can anyone post a pic? Never seen Gold Iforged Aero.

Face II is concave as hava said. For someone who knows the exact count of how many wheels cross the US border you sure know little about their options.

I see more than 4 sets of gold Volks in this one thread.

Yes I am jealous. I like Volk's. I never said they were bad, I just think they'd be a strange choice for wheels of the year for a particular person. I think someone who has invested in importing, having made, or picked something a little uncommon and had a great outcome would be a better recipient.

I am qualified to make these assumptions since this is a vote thread, and I believe I only stated facts. Many people have them, as evidenced by this thread itself. What are we supposed to do, proclaim the winner of the person with best wheels 2004 all 1,000 people with the exact same wheel?

If you look a the thread's start, I believe the author was going for a particular person's wheels, not just a style.

For the record I have American Racing steel wheels, painted white, stolen from an El Camino. Maybe I need to steal your grandma's Volks!
