I depends on the offset of the rims but generally the the wider the rim the bigger the lip and in turn the meaner it will look. I have 9.5 front and 10.5 rear by 19.

I guess I am the only one that likes 8.5 and 9.5 especailly if you are only going to run a 245 and 275 tire. I don't see any reason for the extra width and weight.

zxsaint, I have the LE37T 9.5 / 10.5 +22 on order for my silver G356MT along with 255 & 285 g-force KDW-2 tires. If I look straight down (top) from the fender lips (front and rear) will the rims and tires be sticking out? Do you have a good pictures of your ride straight down the sides front/rear?

Oh yes -- You'll see the bottom lip clearly while viewing directly above (due to the negative camber). Tops are tucked under slightly.

I don't have pics from that angle, but this will give you an idea. Pic

I agree with Tut. I'm running 9 and 10.5. The 245 and 275 series tires look stretched on them. That's about my only gripe. I plan on going 255 and 285 (if there's a decent selection in 285's by the time I need new tires.)

What I mean is do you see the top of the tire front or back when looking down from above the fender lip? I assume the tire will tuck in the back if I lower it.

Yes, it'll tuck in and then even more after you lower it.

From the top of the front fender, if you look down do you see the top of the rim/tire? Please

don't know about the front because I have 9" +26 offset which is inside the fender.

for the rear with a 10.5" +22 and lowered about an inch, the wheel and tire stick out looking straight down.

This is for the G but I think it'll be close, if not the same for the Z.

i too have 8.5 & 9.5~19" wheels but like the 9.5 & 10.5" better. its not just the potential wider/deeper lip its the way the tires fit the wheel. some people as stated above dont like this. i would much rather the arched sidewall than the straight/flat sidewall. the arched sidewall looks so much sharper on a lowered car with heavy offset wheels. my wheels have 15mm & 20mm offsets wich sticks them out even with the fenders but if i had 1" more on the inside of the wheel with the same tires it would look more aggressive & even allow for more freedom of drop due to lessening the chance of rub on the inner fender lip! just my .02c

I want to run 255x35x19 front tires and 275x35x19 rears. The ideal rim width for these tires (I believe) is 9" and 10". Then, I would like the wheel offsets to locate the tires INSIDE the top fender lips. Can any offset Gurus help me out here? What light / hot wheels will fit this bill?

Since Volk doens't offer custom offsets, offsets in a 10.5" wheel just seems to look more flush with the wheel well. I used to run 8.5/9.5 and it didn't look right. now 9.5/10.5 it looks awesome.

8.5 9.5 looks pretty much the same as 9.5 10.5 unless you are some hardcore rim/car fanatic or unless you are looking for a difference. The 275's look sort of wrong on a 10.5 and 285 tires are wayyy too expensive and not too easy to find either. As for the lip, 10.5 is obviously bigger than a 9.5 but only by a few mm's. I think a 9.5 is 3.25 inches and a 10.5 is 3.55 inches. Bigger, but not THAT much difference. I think maybe 10.5 rears would be better for people who spend most of their income on their car for that little, but extra difference.

Maybe you just didn't select proper offsets for the look you wanted the first time. I don't know if you knew this, but here are all the offsets offered on the GT-7:

http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/...?modelName=GT7

8.5": +11 +21 +30
+23 +33 +42
+36 +46

9.5": +5 +15 +24
+17 +27 +36
+30 +40 +49
+42

10.5": +5 +15 +24
+17 +27 +36
+30 +40 +49

With that many offset choices, who needs custom offsets.

how would a 9.5 and 10.5 with 22 offset on both look on 245/35 front and 275/35 rear? also with a 1' drop

for the 10.5 you can run upto 17 offset but might require rolling the fender. but dyam it'll look good.
