I wonder if this does anything?
I was looking through a Japanese auction site and came across this for the Z.

I wonder if this will really strengthen the floor and increase the overall body rigidity? Another question is 1. Whether or not strengthening the rigidity here a good thing for the handling characteristics of the car, and 2. Will this cause any extra stress to another part of the car that will damage the chassis?
The reason I ask #2 is because I've seen cars that were beefed up with 6 point roll cages flex at the firewall/fender, causing a window to crack.
Anyone have any insights?
