i have 19x9.5 SF challenges on my rear, cna i change the tires to 285/35/19?

i have 17,000 miles on my rear tires right now (they are 275/35/19), but i wanted a little bit wider stance. I realize the optimum size for a 9.5 rim is 275 but can i go with a 285?????
