hello all,

i will be heading up to june mtn, ca this wknd. per the weather forecast, the road should be clear. however, i am considering buying some tire chains before heading up as a precaution. i have the 350z enthusiast model with stock wheels & tires and the s-tune nismo suspension upgrade. will the tire chains damage the wheel well?

Don't drive the car. It's a pain in the **** to put chains on a lowered car, especially after it's been driving in snow , the snow builds up in the wheel well and you can't get your hands in there. Rear wheel drive cars handle like ***** in the snow too and you have to drive so damn slow with the chains on, if the chain breaks, your fenders are going to be messed up. Seen it happen on my friends mustang gt. Anyways, i would take something else if you can, especially in these stormy conditions. They're pretty good at clearing the roads up in mammoth/june loop area, but this storm just dumped a whole lot of snow up there. The best bet is to rent a 4x4, you'll bypass any chain only stops, just show that you have chains in the 4x4 though (chp checks for that).
