Need help with 17in Tires
Being stationed in Japan I would like to buy new tires. I have searched the forum and found that The Michelin Pilots are a good choice. My problems is that most of the tires recommended on this site are not found in Japan. "The OEM tire size" for the 17in.
Believe or not" So can any one tell me what the pros and cons are of going with the "45" all a round, or what tire size you can recommend. Thru the search I have found this.
OEM Front: 225/50 R17
OEM Rear: 235/50 R17
Hoping these will be okay: Michelin Pilot Front: 245/45 R17
Rear: 255/45 R17
The only tire that I have found in Japan are the crappy Bridgestones. I really don't want them. I can have Pilots sent from the states. I just don't think it's practical.

On the stock wheels the 245 is a little wide, go with 235/45's in the front.
As for tires in Japan, I'd go for the Advan line (Yokoahma) or Falkens.

After shopping around today, I found out according to most tire dealers here in Japan, that BridgeStone has the market on the tire on the "Z" here. It is impossible to buy a set of 4 tires from the same manufacture.
