That is the way to go, I have them in 45 profile and they are a tad too tall, next time it will be 40.

does it rub/ improve track performance/ work with VDC and TPMS?

It doesn't rub but if you have spacers and push the wheels out then it would.

The performace is good with S03's but a little mushy with Toyo's as the S03 has a stiffer sidewall, yes I tried both. I don't have VDC or TPMS but no effect on TCS.

I thought the same thing switching from S03s to toyos on my 19" wheels.

I have SSR 18X9's on all four corners and the S03's with 245/40 front and 255/40 rear on my G35. It eliminates some of the over steer and I like the look. I think you will be pleased with this set up.
