Default Need help on tire selection

I just had Discount Tire put 2 new Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S on my rear wheels a few days ago (fronts were back ordered). In my limited driving expereince with these so far, I'm very disappointed (previous tires were Nitto NT 555). The tires were slipping on corners alot more than I experienced with my Nitto's. I origally chose to go with a longer tread life tire knowing that their would be "some" performance trade offs, but I didn't realize it would be this much.

The front tires are in, but now I'm rethinking my tire choice. I'm not sure if I can return/trade-in/credit the ones I just bought, but I'm going to give it a try.

Any recommendations on a better performing tire than Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S? The sizes I'd like to use are 245/40/18 F and 275/40/18 R. I have SSR GT3 18x8.5 F and 18x10.5 R rims.

Thanks!

If they will let you exchange, you might want to consider Michelin "Pilot Sport" PS2. I have SSR GT3 18 X 9.0 on all four corners 245/40/18 Front 265/40/18 Rear.

Thanks for the feedback. Here are the tires I'm considering...thoughts?

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
BFG G-Force TA KDW2
Toyo Proxes T1-S
Bridgestone Potenzas S-03 Pole Position
Michelin Pilot Sport (PS2)
Nitto NT 555 (previous tires on Z and was pleased)

I have Toyo Proxes on my Z and love them. They are the best tires I have had so far compared to the stockers and Falken Azenis. Excellent grip but do have some sidewall flex... I like this since it allows the tire to break loose less quickly, its more smooth.

I just ordered the Micheline Pilot Sport Cup tires, I let you know what does are like on tuesday. I had the Toyo T1S, I loved them in the rain but not in the dry. I believe the Sport Cups are Ok in the rain but in the dry it's the tire to go with. It's got the half slick look to it and a buddy of mine has then on his 911 GT-2 and he loves them.
