Default Wider 17" Tires?

Hey everyone, I just picked up my new 2005 yesterday! I was wondering if anyone here replaced the stock 17" tires on the base model for some wider ones while still using the 17" wheels, and if so, what size/brand do you recommend. I was looking for a bit wider in the rear and was thinking of 245-255 if possible while lowering the profile one size. Thanks for any suggestions.

Yup, you can do a 255/45-17 on the rear and it will be the same outer diameter as stock. (You could do a 245/45-17 in the front if you wanted to also.)

There are plenty of other posts about tires, so if there is a particular brand you're curious about just do a quick search.

Enjoy that new Z!

I have 275's on the stock 17" wheels for auto-x. Don't know if I would do it for the street though.
