Default TPS swap to another car?

What would someone have to do if they bought Z rims with TPS sensors to get a TPS reading in their ride? Is there a unit you have to buy? Do you have to buy the whole "Z display unit"?? Is there a quick swap?

I.E. Someone in a maxima buying a set of Z rims and wanting to hook up the TPS sensors.

Has this been done?

To my knowledge no one has been able to do it. To be honest, it would end up being much cheaper to just buy one of those complete aftermarket tire pressure systems brand new for $300 or less. Retrofitting all the parts into a non-Z (or even a Z) would be really difficult, I imagine.

Thanks for the info. A buddy of mine bought a set of Z rims/tires for his I30 and it came with the TPS...he was wondering if it could be done. Sounds like more trouble than it's worth.

Yeah, if it's even possible I bet he'd end up spending more than just getting an aftermarket kit. On that note, he could probably sell those sensors on here for some decent cash. Check the marketplace here, but I've seen used sets going for around $300 or so.
