Default 235/35-19 vs 245/35-19

anybody riding on 235/35s, any real difference between these tire sizes other than 10mm width, at toyos tire chart it shows they both are optimum for 8.5 inch rims, in just wondering because its 100$ cheaper if i get 235s vs 245s. oh yeah its going on an 8.5 rim.

I wouldn't use the 235 cuz that is too narrow a tire for a 8.5 rim.

I have 245/40/18's on my Hardbody and it has 8" wide rims.

If I had 235/40/18's, they would look and work ok too but your rims are .5" wider than mine.

I was hoping to use a 305 on a 10.5" Axis Hiro wheel but the price is $100 more than a 295 from the same tire model line. Plus with a 305 there'd be too many issues with rubbing and rollin' fenders and sheeeet.

Anyway, I would go with the 245. I'm surprised the chart said they were both optimum. Yes a 235 will probably fit on a 8.5 wide rim but not optimally. In fact I'd bet it's the narrowest possible tire you could run. 225/50's are optimum for a 7" rim.
