I want to purchase new rims soon. Most vendors are telling me about $1100 for the toyos. What is the cheapest I can get these for shipped?

Also, I've heard that there is a T1R tire coming out. Are these going to be more or less expensive than the T1S?

Any help is greatly appreciated. In your guys' experience, is it usually cheaper to buy the wheel set with tires premounted, or get them mounted yourself? If anyone can suggest a cheaper yet still good performing 19" tire, please let me know.

The T1R will be more expensive than the T1S.

I waited and waited for the T1R, but I really need tires .. so I changed over to Goodyear GS-D3 .... they were about $1000 shipped .. where the best I could do on the Toyos was $1050 + CA tax

 

I always wanted those, where did you get the GSd3's from for that price? My old rims had those but I replaced them. Also, is mounting really that expensive? I think I got ripped last time, like $50 a wheel.

Mounting is $150 for all 4 wheels incl. dismount old, new chrome valvestems, balance etc. This is at a shop that does excellent work, dealing with HRE Iforged and such ... so I know they are careful.

I ordered them from TireRack.com and they are directly shipping them to the wheel shop for me ... no worries about loading tires in the car (they are doing this for free too). Total was $1030 shipped to CA.

ps - I got 255/35 and 275/35 19s for my wheels ... same as the Toyos I used to run, so I will definitely be giving these a good runthrough to compare them

 

Cool, thanks for the info. Tirerack has some damn good prices, might end up buying the KDW 2's from them later on.

Thanks for the help--now to decide which rims *sigh* its been weeks and I cant decide what to put a deposit on.

Adam at Z1Auto got me the best price on Toyo's shipped to my door.

 

tireswap.com sells only toyos. my friend such bought t1r's from him for a good price!
