Axis Hiros...best place to buy them ???
I want to buy the Axis Hiros, gunmetal, (19 x 9.5, and 19 x 10.5), or (19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5). Wheres the best place to get a good deal on them, either wheels only or tires and wheels.
My next qusetion is, What tires should i go with on either setup ?
19 x 8.5 = 245 's ?
19 x 9.5 = 275 's ?
19 x 10.5=285 's ?
my last question is :
if i go with 19 x 9.5 's up front, can i run 275's up front , or do i go with a smaller tire ?

275's will DEFINITELY NOT WORK in the front. 255's are pushing it a bit already...
I would stay safe and do 245f and 275r
But there are many people running 255f and 285r but need to roll the fender a bit I think...not too sure tho. of course for these sizes you should go with 9.5f and 10.5r for the deep dish look. I believe there is someone here running 305 in the rear too...
Since you are looking at the Hiros, you might wanna check out the reverbs too. they are a bit lighter than the hiros since the hiros are cast. But the reverbs cost a little bit more tho.
Good luck.

I have the 9.5 - 10.5 X 19 set up. If you were my worst enemy, I wouldn't want you to go thru what I did from the place I bought them from, so I'll just leave that out.
One thing you definitely want to do your homework on is the correct size tires on the Axis Hiro's.
I was sent a rim/tire pkg w/ Falkens 245/35/19 front, and 275/30/19 rear. If you search my thread on "rims sticking out further than tires", you'll see that this is an ugly set-up (unless you are a drifter, and like it like that).
So, after about 1 month of arguing, etc w/ the place I bought these from, I asked another poster here what brand of tires he has (he has same staggered set-up), and he said Nitto's. So, thats what I got, and they fit fine - front 245/35/19, and rear 275/30/19 (they don't make 275/35/19 for nittos).
Do not use the goodyear GSD w/ sizes above because they don't fit neither. Not sure about the other brands. I could have went to a larger tire of front - 255/35/19, or rears 285/35/19, but thought I would have to roll the fenders, so I chose to stay w/ the sizes I stated in the first paragraph.
Don't listen to the Axis rep.. They are suggesting using the 245/35/19 front, and 275/30/19 rear, but they said all brands will fit, but I found out the hard way that this is not true (only nitto 555's fit in these sizes for this rim - Hiro).
So, just do your homework, and I would suggest buying from one of the larger stores, and not the little cheaper ones on the internet, or you will be sorry.
Actually, if I had to do it over again, I would get the 8.5", and 9.5" set-up and use the same sizes I stated above, but you might be able to use all brands instead of just nitto's.
Hope this helps.

Hey UCMyZ,
Do you have any pics you can post? I'm about to get the 8.5/9.5 set-up with the tires sizes you suggested, but I'll use Falken instead. I have a Dessert Platinum G35 Coupe and will get the silver wheels instead of the gunmetal. I'd luv to see yours.
