Default Scratches on Lips- best way to remove?

I have RH J8's. I have some fine scratches on my lip, nothing really deep... anyone know the best way to remove the scratches? I'm thinking they can be buffed out...but I'm not even sure if the lip is clearcoated or not....anyone know? Will a buffer work?

It's clearcoated ... pretty much you (and I) are screwed ... I have C4s and it is the same thing for me ... I don't know how it happened but it looks like someone laid a piece of clear hair on my lip You can't buff, polish or anything....just hope the clear doesn't start to peel.

^ sux! Oh well, at least I know nothing can be done (unless I want to spend alot of money to redo the clearcoat/etc)...Anyways, I'll live with it.. and yes.. it looks like that, like a piece of clear hair. I think I know how it happened, I think there may have been a small piece of tar that got stuck on my washing mitt... it caused the scratch! sux!! Just be careful to inspect your sponge/mitt/etc when washing the wheels.

once it starts to get unbareable, you can just get the lips polished. Then every once in awhile go at it with wheel polish to clean the lip up.

^ the wheel place said I couldnt do that, they would have to do the entire wheel. Since the J8's are not multipiece, the lip can't be polished seperately. If this is the case, I might as well wait until I get some real damage and then get a different color on the spokes....
