They look sweet. Are they a true 3 piece wheel?

I actually saw a set at a local shop, They are 1 peice. The choice of offsets are either 35mm or 20mm.

The 279 model looks bad *** in person.

$900 for the set. I asked the seller if he had pictures of it in the "hyper black" color with the polished lip.

These wheels look much like the 4 series of HRE's. If they cost $900 a wheel then that seems costly for a 1 pc wheel. If $900 a set, looks like a good deal.

I belive in the add above the numbers got swapped, 278 and 279 are opposite, look at their site for accurate model numbers www.statuswheels.com/ruff.html.

The offsets are +20, they were designed to specifically clear the Z specs including the Brembo's. They come in hyperblack or silver. The price is around 900 per set.

The ones in the ad were 19's but I went with 18's for cheaper tires and more tire choices.

Mine are not rolled and with Eibachs, if you choose a tire close to stock diameter you should be fine.

I weighed the 17's, the Rays and the Ruff's, then I subtracted the weight of the tires per the weight described on tirerack. The 17's and Rays are probably a little off on the light side as they are worn and probably not the weight listed, I had a difference in the right and left rear Rays of .5 pounds as one was a little more worn than the other.

Anyway here is the estimated weight of the wheels based on the above:

17" Front 22.5
17" Rear 22.00 (probably due to a lot less tread than the fronts which are almost new)

Rays Front 16.5
Rays Rear 16.5 (both Rays are a little light probably because of the tread wear, I think they are supposed to be around 18)

Ruff Front 25.0
Ruff Rear 27.0

So basically the difference from the 17's is around 2-3 pounds (talking into acount tread wear) and 7-9 pounds from the Rays. Which I don't think is that bad considering you get an extra half inch and inch from the Rays and an extra inch and a half from the 17's. There is the info.
