Default Tire feathering/cupping - any ppl had luck removing completely?

Sorry if this has been posted before - god knows this issue has annoyed a lot of us

but what i'm posting for is to know:

1 - has any definitive cause been identified for the "feathering/cupping/etc"? (i've heard it was toe, but can't a piece be fabricated to avoid this?)
2 - anyone had luck removing the "feathering/cupping/etc" after once being a victim to it

the reason i ask is because i have gone through the dealer for 2 sets of stock tires (about 6-8k miles each, stock ride height, dealer alignment) and about to lose one set of S03's (5k miles, lowered, aligned) to this problem and i'm seriously beginning to think that it might be time to trade in the car... hate to do it since i like the car and still have some parts that i haven't put on it, but when i get a nagging feeling about it when driving it (worrying about the tires and the constant maintenance) then the enjoyment value goes down

if you don't feel the same way i do about this and are just a "grin and bear it" type person in regards to this issue, please don't flame/troll, etc... i'm really hoping to get some clarification and information

thanks

How many times did you get the car realigned in those 6-8k miles? There is no answer to your question. Get more alignments, and run less negative camber than Nissan recommends. When you got your car aligned after lowering what was your camber? You might get better luck in the repair forum also. We only care about getting rid of the oem tires and wheels in this forum.

thanks - obviously i have replaced the OEM tires/wheels w/the SSRs... that's the concern since the tires are more expensive and obviously the dealer isn't going to do anything for me when seeing the car lowered on 19s

The dealer will do nothing for you now that you have modified the stock suspension.

If you want to correct it, get front A-Arms from 350Evo ($850) and correct the front end.

Get SPC Canber arms and toe bolts ($230) for the rear.

You will have a perfect alignment and never have cupping, feathering, etc.

Yes, this is expensive, so are your tires. Choose wisely.

I didn't first time around and my $1000+ Toyos ate it in 10 months ... believe me, you learn this lesson once.
