Default New Tires Help Please

Okay, It's time for new tread. I have Track Rays (18x8f, 18x8.5 r). I just ordered Toyo T1S 235/40ZR-18 f, 275/40ZR-18 r.

I'm not to concerned with the 235's on the front, but will the 275's fit the rear and will they look good if they do fit 8.5?

I went in looking for 265's for the rear and 245's for the front but I guess Toyo doesn't make those sizes in 18".

Thanks for the help!

David

Default Toyo website info

technically, the 275/40 is too wide for an 8.5" wheel.... it will fit, but that is not the recommended wheel width, 9.5" is the recommended wheel width.

Also, you need to run a 245/40-18 up front for the best complement to the 275s in the back. That is the best setup to maintain as close as possible to OEM rolling diameters.

follow this link to the spec on the T1S http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_specsheet.cfm?id=2

for the 274/40-18, Toyo specs between 9" and 11" wide wheels, with 9.5" being the optimum.

Thanks! I actually changed my order to 265/40's r & 245/40's f. I just can't get Toyo's now. I went to the Bridgestone RE050 run flats. It just seemed in my head that 275's would just be to wide even though that's what the guy was trying to sell me.

Kinda burns me a little. These guys are supose to know what they're doing.

Thanks again!
