Default Would my rubber fit? :)

I just ordered my new rims yesterday but, I’m trying to figure out if the tire size I’m thinking of would rub or not.

1st scenario - The wheel size is 19x8.5 with 20mm offset front and 19x9.5 with 30mm offset rear.

I know most people go with the 245/35 – 275/35 tire setup but, I’m curious if I can use 245/40 – 275/40 without rubbing. So, would this work?

2nd scenario - No aftermarket springs yet but, if I do lower it, it might be somewhere around 1” all around. Would this rub?

Thanks for the help.

it could be a problem in the front, not sure.. rear would probably be ok and you can always roll the fenders..

I would think you would be ok with 20et, 245/40/19s for the front. The tire is still a 245, it's just a taller tire than it should be. And knowing that you can fit up to 275s with the proper et, I want to say you should be ok. Why do you want a taller tire size though? Is it simply because of cost or?

Highways have way too many pot holes..cracks. I want the low profile look but, with a smoother ride.
