Default Volks Or iForged - Which is BETTER?!?!

I am researching which wheels I want to get in the future and I am having trouble. I know iForged used to have problems with their clear coat but I know that they now offer a ceramic coating which is the best coating available for the wheels. Do Volks only use clear coat? If so, how well does it hold up? Any help would be great!

Yep Volk or better known as Rays Enggineering uses a clear coat and its the best in the industry.

I-forged wheels take forever to get and their customer sevice is horrible.

Volks are more readily availiable and are stronger because of their race and drift history.

We sell the Full Volk line in our store at www.350zonline.com/store

I've had both. Quality seems comparable, and if you order iForged through Avalon Racing, you won't have any customer service issues. It all comes down to what style you like.

Same here. I've had both Volks and two sets of iForged.... I have a black face on my iForged wheels right now, and the clearcoat quality isn't the best. You can have them re-finished, but the last I heard, the turn around time from iForged is something like 3+ months

Yeah it's really hard to compare these two:

Volk:
Racing heritage, designed to accomodate big brakes etc. Japanese forged and finished. You damage one, not too hard too difficult to replace. Designed to be light as possible.

Opinion: Awesome street wheel, double with track worthiness.

Iforged:
Custom wheels, you can order them any color, finish and offset. They have mostly straight faced wheels so you have to be careful what offsets you go with, in conjunction to having a big-lip in the rear. Takes a little longer to order a wheel replacement. A tad bit heavier.

Opinion: Beautiful Street wheel, track worthiness questionable. This doesn't mean you can't track with them, but I don't know many that do.

I do, I have nothing against the quality of the wheels, they hold up great on the track, and they are beautiful. Its just customer service that sucks, and if you get them through Paul at Avalon, that isn't an issue either.

To play safe,

I would go with Volks.

I think I-Forge's are great wheels and they look awsome but I saw some post with some people having issues. I don't like headaches.

Also, I think you have to wait for I-Forge and I am impatient so I can't wait.

Just my personal opinion, not because I have Volk on my car.

Like I said before, I have nothing against I-Forge. I think they are great looking wheels. I just think they take too long to get them.

Either way you go, It would look great on you car.

I bet you people would laugh if I tracked on my 20" bling blings =)

But for real, I've tracked with Volks in the past and they work great. IMO, I don't see how IForged would perform any differently.

For what most of us are looking for, it's basically preference.

I had a personal discount for Iforges that made them a little more affordable than Volks but decided to go with Volks instead.

I just didn't really find an iforge style that really fit my tastes.
If I get a performance sedan in the near future, I'd definitely give their designs another look.
