the Kazera's are another option, and yes they only have 5 holes. But Nismo's are quality and lighweight, and more of an exclusive item. I could have gotten the Kazera's for $1200 shipped with tires, but I wanted to buy what I really wanted the first time around.
How much do the Nismos weigh? Don't get me wrong, you will enjoy having custom rims on your car, but Nismos aren't really exclusive, why? b/c a gillion Z owners put them on their cars.
If you like the rims, that's is what counts. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Enoy the ride, hey everyone doesn't like what I do to my car either, so to each his own.

18lbs front, and I think 18.8 lbs in back
lightweight!
I have yet to see another Z in Austin with Nismo's. I've seen 1 Z in Houston with Nismos.
I agree, everyone should get what they like, not what others think. I just think the whole "extra holes" in the wheel issue is a cheap jab at these beautiful wheels.

18 x 9.5 rear
tires are 245/40/18 and 275/40/18
I would have bought nismo rims if their 18in 10.5 wide wheels came in some decent offsets
Why is it their 19in 10.5 wheels come in all sorts of offset, but the 18in only come in 1 size? really really lame....
a set of 4 nismo wheels is $1800-2000 which is about average for any good lightweight wheel.
IMO, anything under $1400 for a set of wheels is going to weigh a lot

There are lots of Enkei wheels with decent weights that come in under $1400.00.

it's hard to find out how much wheels weigh. It isn't a typical thing wheel companies advertise on their website for some odd reason - or I'm just really blind.

Yeah it does seem hard to find this data. Perhaps it is because wheels come in all types of sizes and offsets which affect weight. Not really a good excuse but perhaps that's why.
If you pay attention to detail, you'll see that the Nismo rims' holes are not identical. In fact there are only 5 holes and 5 trapezoidal spaces that are empty to save weight. I see about 10 350Zs per day, and I've only seen ONE with Nismos here in Houston. By contrast, I see TONS of cars with the much more "rare" Volk TEs, LEs, and SF Challenge (all of which are sweet IMO). Maybe it's just an Htown thing. Lastly, the Enkei wheels I've seen costing $1400/set are cast. I totally understand that the Nismos aren't to everyone's taste, but they're a good deal on a high quality rim.

multipiece wheels are built for affordability, to allow partial rebuild and save $$$ on the long run. Affordability depends on the point of view, poser or track junkie.
Forged monoblock remains the ultimate wheel, can't care less about the street.

i think your wheels are sweet. the simplicity is why i love them, and i'm sick of these super deep dish, multipiece deals (and i own a set of g games wolf 77 19") that say "look at me" and often look inappropriate on the car. plus, the Z has enough subtle flash that the shine of a million extra bolts ruins the classic lines.
i know this is only my opinion and most disagree, btw. figured i should say a word for a guy just proud of his new purchase.
