Hey, I'm fairly new around here... I mostly troll the boards and soak up info but if all goes well I am signing the papers for my Z on wednesday - A DB touring coupe 6mt.

My question however is, why do I see so many parts for the z that are not supposed to be used with vdc equiped vehicles? I mostly find this, and am mostly concerned about it with suspension parts, sway bars, etc. which is why i posted in wheels tires brakes suspension.

What would make these, or any, parts NOT work with VDC? Would there be problems if I went ahead and strapped on some non-vdc sways or what? What if I left VDC off?

I did some searching on this and didnt turn up a whole lot of definitive information. Thanks in advance for any good info anyone can provide.

 

that was some nissan clerk under the influence of drugs who wrote that

most of that stuff does not interfere with VDC.

Nismo LMGT4 do not interfere
Nismo S-tune suspension does not interfere
Nismo Sway bars do not interfere
Nismo LSD does not interfere

The reason it says "non-vdc" is probably because they never where tested on a vdc equipped car probably. Or Nissan engineers never bothered testing it and never gave it the clear... in anycase... they do not interfere

I there anything I should look out for that DOES interfere? Or perhaps similar suspension parts from other companies?
