Cool Widest tires

Has anyone mounted 315/35/18 tires on an 18x10.5 +27mm rim? Think it could be done?

Someone did 315/25/19 on a 10.5 +24 wheel with some fender work.

I think it can be done with some negative camber, a stiff suspension and fender work

you could but you'd probably get some sidewall flexing which wouldn't be the greatest for cornering. I'm curious to see what it looks like

I've got the NISMO LM GT4's 9.5" rears all around with 295/35 in the rear and 265/35's in the front. Looks mean with the NISMO S-Tune suspension kit. Adhesion is unbelivable.

I have seen Pirrelli Rosso's on the 8.5 and 9.5 NISMO LM GT4's, sizes were 315/30 and 285/30. The P's run small though, and this car had the JIC and was very low with ZERO rubbing. Rear fenders may have been rolled. Mine are not.

Neat, good info guys. I'm a recent departee from the American V8 crowd and I'd like to stuff as much tire back there as possible. I will be addressing the increase in understeer with springs and sways of course. On a strange and random note, I found that these > wheels < AFS wheels 18x9 +26, 18x10.5 +27 fit the Z too. The offsets, boltpatterns, backspacing, and size are all right. Bring the fronts out by .6'' and the rears by 1.3'' - think that's about flush with the fender. Might look unorthodox but might look pretty good. Centercaps would have to be changed out. Some photochopping is in order.

(just an idea, one of many )

hate to bring up an old thread again... but what about a 19x9.5 rim? what would be the wisdest tire you could put on it without compromising to much handling?
