Default 2 Diff. brand tires

Just wondering about this.
Nissan replaced my front tires due to feathering. They couldn't get new Potenza's in so what they did was purchased Nitto NT 450.

Front tires: Nitto NT 450
Rear tires: Stock Potenza's

Question is, does it make a diff. of having 2 diff. brand tires? Is it ok to have 2 diff. brand tires?

It won't hurt the car, but I wouldn't put the Nitto NT450 in the same class as the Potenza RE040.

King Tut, what's the difference? and why wouldn't the Nitto match the Potenza?

like the other guy said it wont hurt the car. in fact you wont notice anything at all unless you do some heavy driving. i am not to knowledgable about the nittos but i am sure they are probably not as sticky as the potenzas. they probably wear a hell of a lot slower and better.

my dealer did the same thing to me about a year ago or so. i had my fronts replaced with all season potenza RE92's wjile the rears were still the 040's

I'm saying that the price for a set of Nitto NT450s is not nearly the same as the price of a set of Potenza RE040s and the Nittos won't be nearly as sticky but will last longer. You don't have to match your tires front to back my point was just that I would have requested better tires from the dealer.

Don't forget, it is easier to post about the Nitto, b/c the name is so short.

Oaky, boring thread, that has run it's course. Sorry, I hate these types of threads.
