Question Improving rear traction?

I currently have Potenza S-03 Pole Position Front&Rear.

My front tires need replacement so I was going to bring the (very new) 245/40/18 rears on the car now to the front and buy new 255-275/40/18 for the rear.

I know some like to stick to the same manufacturer F&R but I am not happy with the traction of these tires.

What would you recommend for a spirited daily driver?

Have you reviewed the many “best tires” threads?

Toyo T1S was highly praised. The T1R is it's replacement. Might research and try a set of those.
