Tire Repair Rant!
my left rear tire developed a slow leak from a screw, and i went to the goodyr tire store, which was close to my house. the guy took one look at my wheels and said "$80 and no warranty". i said "nice try" and went to the mom and pop tire shop next door. they inserted a plug and sealant for $5. problem solved. shop around, and stay away from shops that want to gouge you.
that is all.
that is all.

its not always best to just use a plug... alot of tires (especially high performance tires) take better to a patch on the inside that you pull through to the out side tread... you have to remove the tire to put this on...
thats an expensive price to install the patch..
the service guys are telling me its $15 to do the patch here...

Yeah I would always go to a place that uses a patch/plug combo where you must take the tire off the wheel (hence the expensive price) and then you place an adhesive down inside and push a plug through from the inside that has a patch attached to it. Then you cut off the end of the plug and it looks brand new as the plug is made of rubber. I did hundreds of them at Wal-Mart and never had one come back leaking. I think they charge under $10 but we definitely wouldn't warranty the work on aftermarket wheels as you need a shop with a good mount and dismount machine.
