Dealer Missed Up My Wheel
I went to pick up my car from Nissan aftre they've had it for over a week to fix my heat shield, and I noticed one of my rear rim lip was looking hazy, I discoverd that nissan dicided it to wash the car for me and used a chemical on my wheels that missed up the clear coat on one of them, I have the volks sf challenge, what do you guys recommend I should do?, Nissan said whatever they used on the wheel was used on the other three, and their argument point is how come the other wheels are not missed up, and they are pretty much saying its not their fault, tell me what you gus think I should do?
Thank you
Thank you

Tell them that that All the rims were in the same condition when you brought the car in and now one's been damaged.....Tell the service mng that you did not ask for your car to be washed, and that their doing so should be instead be the issue in the first place....
or you can always show up there at 3am and make usage of a molotov cocktail

They HAVE to pay for it. You walked in with 4 perfect wheels now you are down to 3. Try buffing the haze with 3M rubbing compound and/or Mother's clearcoat wheel polish. If it does not come out, the clear coat is pretty much done and its time for them to buy you a new one... cuz refinishing the lip WILL LOOK DIFFERENT
they have to pay for it, the dealership i brought my stock wheels back to for an issue i had with the interior, curbed my rim they fixed the prob, they didn't give me a new one but they at least put me in a rental while they buffed that shiet out either way they gotta pay!
Maybe the wash kid sprayed one of your wheels then took a phone call or left for a min or two to get something then came back and sprayed the other wheels then finished the wash. That would kill the finish on the one wheel and not the others. They will pay, just help that azz think outside the box.

What dealer was it?
That has happend a few times, we have told them time and time again to just wash rims with soap and water and they never listen... So the detail guys end up buying new rims...

I was VictorVille Nissan in southern California, I think I am gonna contact Nissan consumers affairs if the dealer dosen,t want to accept responsibility. Now they are telling me they think a DOG PISSED on that one wheel, can you belive that ish, and now I am discovering more haze on another wheel.

write a letter...
etc etc...
Ill vouch for you that chemicals used on the clear coat of these wheels will damage them...
as long as im sure every one on this board will as well...
There is a big thread on wheel cleaners on wheels...
I have a friend that works for mackin industries
(Rays Eng. /Volks U.S distributer) and there are alot of people I was told that are puting chemicals on the wheels for cleaning and it is screwing up the clearcoat.
USE ONLY SOAP & WATER to clean your Volks or any set of wheels.

I used to live in Apple Valley, right across the Mojave River from the Jr. College, I refused to deal with those idiots. I actually went and bought a 2000 Maxima in Visalia (Central Valley), just so I could avoid those douchebags.
BTW, glad to be out of that dusty, windy desert. I do miss taking my 4 X 4 and motorcycles up into the SB mountains however.
