Default Non-Staggered Tire Size Suggestions for the G35

I'm looking to get a set of tires for my G35. I'd like to dial out some of the understeer with non-staggered tire sizes. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good tire size for my OEM 18" wheels? I was thinking about a 265-40-18, but this seems to be a bit wide for the wheels. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone have a suggestion for me? Better yet, is anyone running same-sized tires on all four wheels on their G35 Coupe OEM 18's? Thanks.

You really don't want to do that. The VDC and electronics wont like it. If you want to dial out some of the understeer run 245/40/18 in front and 245/45/18 or 255/45/18 in the rear. You really don't want to run the same size tires all around. A cross section of 265 is too wide for an 8" rim.

You jumped the gun on my question, but thanks. VDC wants to “see” a specific ratio between the front and rear tire heights. Both 350Z and G35 drivers have messed with tire sizes causing havoc with VDC.

Thanks for the info everyone! I thought the VDC would be affected. I think I'm going to just use the OEM fitments.
