Default Invisible wheels.

Do you like the new invisible wheels for the 350Z?

These are the first photos I’ve seen of the new invisible wheels on a 350Z.

what about all the brake dust? must be a PITA to keep clean and free of scratches. Not to mention the loss of brake cooling from these wheels. Still weird, and needs more pics

why would there be any loss of brake cooling? There is no spokes to limit the air going to the brakes....

The brake dust would get on the rear quarter of the car so that would be bad on the paint I think but other than that these wheels look pretty neat

and I agree with Cat, a nice BBK sitting in there would set these wheels off very nicely

I'm guessing because it uses a clear material to make it look invisible.

Look at the 2nd pic.. you can see a reflection...

They almost look like pics of spinning wheels photoshopped on a standstill.

I don't know about your car, but mine has a ton of brake dust on the spokes and inside part of my front wheel. I think it would be the same for this car. The brake dust would just stick to the clear plastic center of the wheel. Cleaning it would require removing the wheel from the car and using anything abrasive would cause scratches.

As for the brake cooling, since it is a solid piece of plastic their is no air geting through the spokes and onto the brakes to cool them, only air that passes under the car. I don't know how much of a factor that is to cooling, but I'd rather not limit the amount of cool air that can get to my brakes

Pretty but not built for performance.

Some will like them, others not. I'm of the latter group, call me old fashion but I think you should be able to see your wheels. I suppose these things are made by Dub and will be the next greatest thing since the spinner to come out.

The welfare crowd in my 'hood lives in second eight housing, feeds their kids with WIC vouchers, uses food stamps for the rest of the crowd, but leases an Esclade and puts $8000 worth of 20" dub dub spinners on it.

Wow...that's one hell of an ignorant post, filled with thinly veiled racial undertones. That's something you say in the privacy of your similarly ignorant friends/family...not when there are other people around, let alone on a board like this...

+1 on the "in the privacy of..." stuff, but it's something that happens a lot...i live near a bunch of people that do that...it's something that i have strong opinions about, but that's for another thread...let's just say i think bill cosby is on the right track

On a lighter note, i think the wheels are pretty damn cool looking for a show car or something, but not all that practical for street use...cleaning the brake dust would be nearly impossible without taking the wheels off

I hate to be stickler for grammar but its “Section eight housing” not “second eight housing.”
