Default Lug type Q? Splined..

probably a dumb question, but ..if i had a set of splined cone "tuner" type lugs which were required for my aftermarket wheels (because of the narrow lug holes), is there any reason why i couldnt use the same lugs with my factory 2003 Z 18's ?

Just compare the seating surface (cone area that actually contact the wheel) of both type of nuts. If they're the same angle and size, you're good to use them with both sets of wheels.

The tapers are standardized-so -Yes u can. On tapered lugs its a good idea to coat the taper with a small amout of Anti-Sieze Compound to eliminate "drag" and galling when u torque them down.

I wouldn't do that. The torque figures are set without any lubricant. Anti-size use should be kept to a bare minium. Other wise we run the risk of over-stretching the studs and break them.
