What do you think of this wheel/tire combo?
For winter driving, I'm looking at 16" mags with Noikian WR 205/60/16 front and 225/60/16 rear. They will probably look awful, but it sounds like a good price/traction solution.
Anybody tried this?
Performance/Silverstone.
BWM 330ci.

Why don't you just put the Blizzaks on the 17s, you can with 225/50/17 on all the tires that way you can rotate them season to season. The rims you are looking at might reduce your ground clearance and increase your cost. I would save the cash for 18s.

I was told by the America Tire store manager that for the traction control and ABS to properly work on our 350Z's, the tire sizes (I think it was the tire height) must be different b/w front and rear. Something like.... the difference can not be less than 1/2" and more than 3/4". So I'm not sure getting the same size tires for all four wheels is a good idea especially if it's for winter driving.
Just my $0.02

Thanks for the comments so far.
My 350 has the 18's stock, so I'm going down two sizes. If I had the 17's, I would do as you say and fit the Blizzaks all round. But for 18's they are too rare/expensive.
As for tire size, I think the 205/60 front and 225/60 offers the same relative size difference as the stock 225/45/18 and 245/45/18, though I haven't done the calculations. From the tire manufacturer web site, the tire diameters look similar.
Will show pictures when they are fitted...........

I'm running 18 inch Pirelli winter snow sports on my G35C and they have been terrific. Cost was $1500.00 CDN. Now I'm saving up for some nicer rims for my summer rubber. If you do not love your stock rims, this may be a solution, albeit an expensive one. Good luck.
