Default **tires Help**

I just bought new rims with the size of 19x8.5 (fronts) and 19x9.5 (rears) and I'm not sure what size tires should i get. What would make the best setup? and should i stick with one brand all around or could i mix the brands with the rears and fronts. If anyone could help, it will be a big help. Thanks.

welcome to the forum

there is much information to be had about your question by searching, there are many posts with the same question

that being said,
the tried and true is 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear
i personally would recommend 255/35/19 and 275/35/19; that is closer to OEM rolling circumference, it reduces width stagger that will improve/reduce understeer, and will keep TCS/VDC happy
if you don't have TCS/VDC, your options are greater, and i'd recommend a non-staggered setup
depending on how much power you make or plan to make will determine if you upsize or downsize the above any further

and yes, one brand for front/rear

hope that helps and good luck

after doing some searching, but i see alot of people with the same rim size going with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. Why do they go with different sizes for the height of the tires (35 and 30). I would assume to go with 35 all around.

yes, you are correct, some have used 275/30/19

but in my opinion, that is a bad choice for 3 reasons

1. different size than OEM, 275/30 is 1.2 inches smaller than the OEM rear. if you have TCS/VDC, your electronics may be unhappy
2. less rim protection
3. ride more harsh

with what benefit? i dunno?

i would agree since it would make sense to have the the height of the tires the same. But what are reasoons that made the majority of the 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 wheels owners run with the different size?

The benefit is faster acceleration due to the apparent change in gear ratio.

But I still say go with the 35 profile rear.

Listen to palepony, get 245/35/19 F 275/35/19 R, or 255 in the front. Your choice.

sorry, i'm not sure what your question is?

your quote "make sense to have the the height of the tires the same" - do you mean same as OEM, or same front/rear, or something else?

your quote "what are reasoons....owners run with the different size" - what different size are you talking about?

if you clarify i might be able to answer your question.
