Default 255/45 on the stock 18" (non-track) rear rim?

Any problems with this setup?

I am currently running 245/40 all around, and want to go a little wider with the rear tires. Will I have any problems using 255/45 (since stock profile is 45 anyway).

I have a Base model so no problems with TCS/etc.

Thanks in advance.

You have 245/45 on the fronts as well. I thought you couldn't fit 245 on the fronts. Just ordered 225/45 & 245/45 KDW2 also.

Sure you can, touring rims are 8'' wide, which fits a 255/45/18 KWD2. No pics though.

I say stick with the stock sizes, unless you get a larger wheel. Changing the size of tire alters your speedo and odometer.

I would say go 255/40 in the rear, 245/40 up front. That way you have a somewhat staggered setup.

the 245 up front should help you with understeer.

Stock size is 225F/245R. IMO, i think 225 is too small for up front (which is why i have 245/40 up front now).

Um you sure you meant to say a 35 series and not a 40 series or even a 45?

Don't know how to say this but a 255/35/18 will look waaayyyyy not right.

A 255/40/18 would be waaaay better. Your wheel wells will look HUGE and your wheels tiny and your sidewalls will look way too thin as well, not to mention the speedo will be off quite a bit.

No, I definately was not sure. That's one reason I posted in this thread is to get recommendations. Thanks for the heads up and I will more than likely order 4 255/40/18.

I was just going to recommend that size. I think you made the right choice. I ran the 245/40, 255/45 combo on my G35 and to me it made the rear look higher because of the increased stagger.
