Well, I used this Meguiars ****, hot wheel cleaner, and it started messing mine up, what I did was used some Meguiars gold class wax and threw about 3 coats on it, letting it dry for about 10 minutes in between each coat, then rubbed them down with a soft towel. They looked brand new. On my center caps, some clear came completely off, but isnt noticeable, are you lips totally ****ed or would waxing help?? I used car wax because esentially the car and rims are both clear coated....let me know!!

If the clear coat is flaking or peeling off then applying a few coats of wax will NOT repair them.

They must be professionally done by a wheel refinishing shop.

Your best bet is to call your local wheel shops and ask them if they know of any. They'll be the first to know.

I would recomend Mag Masters in Santa Ana but if its too far from LA, you can try Boltons Classic wheels in Gardena. They are much closer from LA.

How is it Damaged? If you post a pic, I can probably tell you where you should take it too.

If its just a lip, you can take it to Bolton Classic wheels but if there are other damages like chips on the wheels, you might want to take it to Mag Masters.

I damaged many wheels in my life time and I took it to both Bolton & Mag Master including Wheels America.

I would never take my wheels to Wheels America again and they are 5 min from my house, especially if it has polished lips.

Post your pic.

Mine we getting really hazy/foggy, chips only on center cap, I didnt think your lips were that bad, chipping. I got worried of this happening so I only use car soap and water on them now, the wax turn the haze back into a nice clear finish, like the day I got them. Good luck, and would like to see pics!

Looking at the wheels, I would take the wheels to Mag Master in Santa Ana.

First of all, I would call Mag Master and make an appt. Drop off the car in the morning and they can have it done by late afternoon if want to get lips high polished. The only thing is, if you get the lip high polished, it will completely take all the clear coats off and its more maintenance for you. You probably have to get Mother wheel polisher and polish your wheels every month. Its not that hard but it may be little hassel for you to polish your wheel every month. They will probably charge $100 for each wheels. $35 for high polish, $35 for taking the wheels apart/reassemble and $20 or $30 to dismount the tires and remount them after the lips get polished. The good thing about getting high polish and taking the clear coat off is that you can shine your wheels anytime you want with Mother Wheel Polisher and not worry about hazing. Clear coat wheels/lips haze after a while and if car wash uses wheels cleaner, you will have a haze thats almost permanent.

Couple of month ago, my brother bought some used 19" SSR Agle Stusse. 2 were wheels were bent a little, 2 had minor curb rash and 1 had major curb rash that went almost 1/3 way around the wheels. After we picked up the used wheels, we made an appt, droped off the car in the moring 8:30AM and by 2PM they fixed 2 bends, fixed all the curb rash and polished all the lips.

If you are going to get the lip high polished, do all 4 so all the wheels will match. At the same time, They can get all the nicks and scrapes off too.

They charged my brother $400 cash.

You can also get them anodized(clear coat) too but I am sure that will cost extra and they have to ship them out.

My brother is happy with the results. I polish my brother wheel once in a while. His wheels are easy to polish because they have small lips. He has Acura TL-S which has high offset so wheels for TL-S has small lips

Here are some pics (pics were taken at night so its not clear)

You can also take your wheels to Bolton Classic wheels in Gardena and have them repolish it too. Cost is going to about same because you have to take the tires off the wheels and after the wheels are done which can take up to a week and get it remounted yourself. Its more hassel but it may be worthi it for you because its much closer from LA. Bolton Classic Wheels will not work on the wheels if tires is mounted on them.

Here are some pics of my SSR GT3 wheels which I use to have.

Before and After.

The clearcoat on a lot of these wheels gets affected by lots of chemicals. USE ONLY soap and water or perhaps a quick detailer, like the ones from mothers or meguires, those work well, and add a coat of protection on the wheel as well.
