Default Tire availability?

Took car in for service and tire roar issue, dealer admitted a problem with the tire/alignment. Has ordered new fronts for the car which will be supplied and fitted FOC, however states he has had these tires on back-order from Nissan since end of July. No indication as to when they may be available - anyone else had this 'back-order' problem?

Yes. But I didn't want to replace the spent tires with another set of RE040s. Instead, I had BFG KDW2s (from tirerack.com).

NNA still re-imbursed me for the new tires, too.

I bought new front tires, and was reimbursed by Nissan for the cost. No backorder. No bologna.

Many thanks guys,

I did check tirerack.com and they have the tires available - couldn't quite work out why the dealer would be waiting almost 6 months...

What's the process - if I have the tires fitted, how do I get reimbursed by Nissan?

If I have other brand tires fitted - in other words not OE fitment but same size etc and the problems recurs, would Nissan deny future claims?

I was at Team Nissan on 1-11-05. No tires . no clue when they will be coming in. There is a lot they dont have a clue about. Then on the way home picked up a nail in the rr in the side wall. ruined it . now i need a whole set. I figure i might as well slit my writs now.
