Default Help with tires please( worry about VDC)

well i have 8.5 and 9.5 18inch rims.

will i have any problem if i wrap it up with 225/45/18 for front and 275/40/18 for the rear?

please help; thank you

That will keep VDC happy the larger back tires are nearly identical in diameter to stock but are you sure you want to go that narrow on the fronts? A 225 on a 8.5 rim will look pretty stretched. You could just as easily go for 245/40 that would fit the front better.

wow thanks for the reply..

one last Q.. how about I put 245/45 series for front and 275/40 th rear?(for temporary)

because i ordered 245/40 series but it will take while to get my house..

This is fine too, actually even better because the 245/275 combination is the one recommended by NISMO. Are you SURE you want to put 225s up front? That size will make the oversteer issue even worse.....and they'll be pretty stretched on 8.5" rims.

In this setup your back tire diameter is shorter than the front. VDC does not like this, the most commented side affect of this is that the VDC will kick in while making high speed turns (like onramps and overpasses).
