I'm looking for the best possible traction for drag racing, something that can work daily, but when I go to the track will perform the best for me. I was looking for 18x11's in the back and 18x9" in the front, but I would really like to stick with 17's for less rotational mass. Can anyone tell me what the best thing to do would be. Eventually, when I'm done, I would like to be at about 600+whp so I need some traction. Does anyone make a 17x11 and would that be the way to go??

they make that size for mustangs. Go to ebay & type "mustang rims" or "17 11" or "17 10" it should pull up many choices.
BTW, I'm sending my stock rims out to get widened to 10.25in next week. In about 2-3 weeks i'll post a thread about it. I'm getting 315/35 r17 GSD3's
