Default good post

Good post, my bet is 19's will win the day. I qwonder if my decision of buying 18's will be one I regret. Give feedback, I can still change my mind, they are not ordered yet but will be later this week.

yea, I was wondering why most ppl go for the 19's .. wouldn't that affect peformance on the track or the drag strip? just wondering.

Default IMHO

19": From what I can tell, 19" has the big wheel look/low profile tire many like but it is rougher riding, more possibility of wheel damage and poorer performance than 17 or 18" because when you reduce tire ht, you are adding wheel ht thus more weight. More weight = less HP.

18": You lose the show car looks that 19" provides. Gains are a slightly better riding car and less posibility of wheel damage. Cost is less too.

17": Good for track due to less wt. Many here would not like due to looks factor.

If my summary is incoreect, please feel free to comment. This is just MHO!

Yeah, you sumed up my feelings about 19s in the poll options. The Z's fenders are huge, and 19"s really change the whole stance of the car. Ride quality is suposedly about the same since your upgrading to much better tires. Remember though, you can have to much sidewall...though I'd imagine its perfect amount with 18s

i love the looks of 19's but that's about it. performance suffers a lot when you go from a lightweight 17 or 18 to a heavy 19 or 20. could be enough to lose a few .10th's in the 1/4 or maybe a second or two off your lap time.

me personally i'm going for some forged 18's with 18X8 front and 18X9.5 rear. haven't figured out what yet but nothing to fancy but something more performance oriented. 275's in the rear are a must and i can't believe they didn't do them stock.

19inches nothing less ...I love the look of course I don't autox of drag I just enjoy speed and power ..I don't think 19's will kill the car performance wise.

I went with 19's in the front and 20's in the back. It make's the car look right. It might not be the ultimate in performance, by 97% of the time my wife drives the car anyway!
