running oversized tires on skinny wheels
Ok some of you may know I'm not a big fan of running a 285's (monster truck tires) on a 8.5" wheels
However I was wondering about possibly running 265/40/18's rear and 245/40/18's on the fronts of Anniversary wheels as a replcement size to the standard 225/45/18's and 245/45/18's.
I already know the overal diameters will be a tiny bit smaller than stock but not enough to worry about (about 1/8" overall rear) big woop. Besides the difference in relation to the frionts and rears will be the same as the stock sizes (rear tires 2 sizes wider than fronts).
I know a 245 will fit on a 8.0" perfectly fine. Also know that a 265 is one size wider than what should be the widest on a 8.5" but I don't believe this should be a huge issue.
Question is...
Is anybody else using that setup?
Or will I be the first?
