Default what tire size for 19" nismo/piaa wheels???

why do people with 19s get 35 series tires in the front and 30 in the rear? doesn't that make the rear tire look thinner than the front? i know there is some reasonable logic to this but can neone explain to me why people do this instead of getting 35 series tires for the front and back? btw im planning on getting 19" nismo wheels or piaa super rozza's and don't know what tire combo to buy.

It depends upon the width differential. For example, a 245/35/19 has a diameter of 25.7" while a 295/30/19 has a diameter of 25.9" and a 285/30/19 would be 25.7". However a 275/30/19 would be 25.5" and thus be smaller than the front and cause problems with VDC/TCS. Check out this handy calculator for specs on different setups.

Good luck!

I have 245/35/19's in the front and 275/30/19's in the back and I have no problems. The choice for the rears was actually a mistake on my part. The way I understand it (from someone's post) is the difference has to be greater than 5%. I don't know if that's true or not.

is the tire profile size difference obvious when you look at it in person. becoz wouldn't the rears look thinner than the front? nice car btw and those some sweet wheels, what are your offsets? thanks.
