Default Anyone with a red Z

I'm trying to find what kind of wheels will match my red Z, except for chrome. I was gonna put on 18x9 +24 Front and 18x10 +30 Rear Motegi Touges but found they were kinda heavy . They are kinda cheap though.
I'm looking for something nice, but affordable. Let me know what you'll think. Some of your pictures will help...

What do you think about those wheels with red center caps?

Here's a pic of my redline with Volks. I know they are more expensive, but you can get an idea of how the silver w/polished lip looks on a redline. They are spark silver btw.

BTW, I really like the Motegi Touge's. I think they'd look great on the Z!

Nice I like your wheels. But don't you think the Motegi rims are kinda heavy?
18x9 +25 = 26lbs
18x10 +30 = 29lbs

Yeah, I do. However, they aren't much heavier, if at all, than my 19's are (of course you give weights for 18's, so 19's would be even heavier). But, realistically, you aren't going to get a super lightweight wheel for the cost of the Motegi's. You can get some of the forged, 1-piece Volks (like the CE28's or TE37's) and come in at about 20 lbs each for 19s or about 18 lbs each for 18's, but they are going to cost a lot. It's up to you to decide whether it's important enough to have light wheels at the high cost, or not.

Rota makes some Nismo LMGT-4 knock-offs that look pretty nice. I think they're under $1K for the whole set.

It's 9.5 +30 F and 10.5 +24 R. Going 8.5/9.5 would be fine, and in fact, many prefer it, since you'll still be able to get plenty of tire on the wheel, but without the extra weight of one more inch on each wheel. You'll have less lip though, if that matters to you.

Trust me, the pics do not do these wheels justice. I think they look very ok in the pics, but I saw a set on a silver Z in Salt Lake City last spring, and they look AMAZING in person. I was drooling all over them.

Well......I agree. The biggest kick I've had was right after I got them, I drove up to a mega auto retail store- which is a happening spot for ricers and as I pull up to 4 of them standing on the curb, one does a double take and says to his buddies "man that f......n hot" Still makes me smile as I'm typing!!!! Thanks Bro!

Well, that's what I've been thinking since the beginning, since I didn't want that added weight for that extra inch. I guess I don't care too much of the lip, but just like that concave look. I've read several posts about wheels/offsets/tires and I don't think I've ever gotten a straight answer.

So if I go 8.5/9.5 (which I prefer), what offsets should I run and what tires sizes can I put on? I still want to go 19s. I need a recommendation because I want my Z to look just right with nice concave wheels in back without any issues. I have nothing to base my opinion on for the 8.5/9.5 setup so any help would be great. Pics too!

Haha, nice! It makes me smile too. We're cool, we drive nicer cars. I don't like that ricer/lawnmower sound much either.

Hmm, I'm not sure exactly what the concave look is that you want. Do you mean just the deep dish look? Or do you mean you want the spokes on the wheel to be curved? On my wheels, the spokes aren't curved much, but they do sit nice and deep in there.

I'm not sure the offsets either. Call one of the Volk vendors (sounds like Chris at F1 Motorsports is the way to go) and they can give you the appropriate offsets for your car. The correct offset also varies depending on the wheel you choose, so it's not as simple as just saying you want x offset regardless of the wheel.

As for the tires, you can fit the same tires that most of the rest of us run. You can do the usual 245/275 setup, which I have, and yours will look less stretched on the less wide wheels. And you can go bigger than that if you want. You could go 265/295 and be fine (wheel wise, but you might have rubbing issues) if you want to go that wide. You should definitely call Chris and talk to him. He's an expert and can get you set up with EXACTLY what you want.

I had 20-inch Axis Mod-7s on my car when I bought it and I get waaaay more compliments with the Nismos. Unfortunately, I don't have any recent pics of the car after we intalled the Tein suspension and lowered it
