The SF Winnings are a really nice option to go with. As far as size and whether you want to lower your car, that really depends on you. I personally thought the car was "low enough", so I just went with Hotckis springs only to reduce the wheel gap (since the lower profile tires will actually make your Z look RAISED if you're at stock height). As for size most people usually go with a 9.5/10.5 setup. Your offsets will depend on the exact wheel you go with.

Ok, my input... DON'T GO with the 8.5/9.5/19" setup... if you're going to spend the money.

Everyone's setup will be unique and there is no RIGHT way to do it, unless you want to carbon copy someone's setup...

I went with the 8.5/10.5/19" setup with +25F/+29R... and I'm happy with it. I was stock height for a while and the wheels were close to flush. I then dropped it 5/8" got a re-alignment and now it's perfect. Well... close




If you plan on dropping 1" or more, then you should go with the more aggressive offset and wider rims 9.5 @+19 and 10.5@+17. They will clear the stock BREMBOS and they will clear the ROTORA 14" BBK 6/4 pot.






I have been reassured that the BBK will also fit my setup, hence I've already bought this BBK

Sorry i'm still new...can you explain that to me? so with set up you had no wheel gap? the tire and wheel well matched up?

 

the guy suggested tire that's like 280/30 if that even exists, he probably meant the back. This car is a semi-daily-driver but i plan to have a bit of fun at the track as well. What do you recommend in term of tires to prevent rubbing? Higher sidewall or lower sidewall with wider middle?

 

Your going to get a gap regardless of the setup, the low profile tires just create this illusion. This is why I dropped my Z on RS*R springs 5/8" a few months later. At that point I trimmed the inner lip of the rear fender for clearance, because I run a tall/wide tire in back 295/35/19. This spring I may purchase the CONTI 2 (295/30/19), because it's a better visual match with the front (245/35/19). The 295/35/19 is a very tall tire and isn't a perfect match with the front. I chose the CONTI 2 because it's as wide as a 305 and cost about $100-150 less. Those 305s, 315s are $$$!

When the time comes for 4 new tires, I may go with the KWD2s at 255/295/35. I've seen it and it looks sweet! You may consider this as your first tire if you go with the 8.5/10.5 setup. If you go with the 9.5/10.5 setup, many guys are running 265/30/19 and 285/30/19 tires for fender clearance.

Everyone has their favorite brand, I cannot recommend the perfect setup for you. You will have to do some homework.
Tires in these sizes can be expensive, so be prepared...

Ok this offset thing is driving me insane!!!! The more i search the more confused i am. Basically I know +25 front and +29 Rear will clear the brembos. What I'm wondering is there any lower offsets that will also clear the brembos?

 

Here are some pictures of t32gzz 's car that I took last Saturday.

I'm quite sure he has the 9.5" front/10.5" rear combo. I can't tell you the offset though....I'm sorry. I know that's the most important part, but at least I have pictures.

 

Damn 350track that car is sick! Love the look, trying to guess if it's gunmetal or silver that might make me switch color.

Idiotic question about offset, will the higher the number make it go more outwards or inwards? like +22 vs +29

 

I guess this answers if he has a rear BBK or not

 

Alrighty guys, I think i'm ready to order my wheels.

I'll go with 9 1/2 in Front +19 with 245/35 tire
10 1/2 in Rear +22 with 285/30

Hopefully they'll clear the Brembos, I'll ask my guy to ask his supplier and make sure.

^^Sorry to burst your bubble, but there's no +22 offset for the SF Winning...really unfortunate too. Your only options are +29 or +17. If you are a stock height, you may want to go with +29 and call it a day (or maybe add 5mm spacer like I did). If you are slamming your car and rolling your fenders, then DEFINATELY go with +17. The front is fine in either case.

 

His specs are 19x9.5" +19 (front), 19x10.5" +17 rear.

BTW, you will need to roll or shave your fenders.

 

I think t32gzz didn't have his rear fenders rolled/shaved, but I "think" he was running a 275/35R19 on those 10.5" rears.

 

When I didnt have my fenders rolled in the rear, my 19x10.5" +17 rears on S03's rubbed slightly on fast dips and bumps on freeways. Now I lowered it with Tanabe GF210 to about 1" with rolled fenders and it doesnt rub.

Im just waiting for the weather to clear so I can take better pics. My car has been filthy for the past month+

 

Looks like the JDM nismo that was molding onto the bumper...can anyone confirm that? or is it the USDM nismo rear? TIA

 

Most likely it's molded. I think the USDM & JDM Nismo rear are exactly the same if not, very similar.

 

I know its molded for sure...just trying to confirm weither its US or JDM....the both are similar, but still different enough..Ill try to find a pic later...
