Default Tires

Im sure this has been discussed already, but I just recently bought a 350z and I would like to upgrade the tires. Im checking tirerack right now and it seems that Avons are the best price for performance, but I have never heard of them. Does anyone have them or know of any good tires that are actually a good deal also?

Avon Tyres (British company, now owned by Cooper Tire) has been around for years.

There are a lot of people who like the Toyo T1s, and IIRC they are summer tires like the Potenzas.

I've got a set of Kumho ASXs, which are all-season (we do get snow up here in the northwest) and I really like them but they didn't come in the same size as the original size on my car, but that was OK since the original sizes were really a bit narrow.

I recommend that you check Consumer Reports and the latest Car & Driver testing.
