225's in the rear?
I bought my Z about a month ago from a dealer and it came with 225's in the rear! I guess i was too excited at first to notice this. My question is do i have any recourse against the dealer? I mean the recommended tire size right on the inside of the car is 245/45/18... Could this be tripping up my VDC?
that is the recommended tire size for the Ray's track model rims... for some reason they do not list the performance model recommended size, which is a 18x8, like the front.
if they really do call for a 245, ****ing sue them

If you buy a car used, it's sold as-is. However, it couldn't hurt to call them and tell them that they gave you wheels that are not compatible with VDC. While that might not be true, maybe you can get them to give you a free extended warranty or something to make up for it. You never know.
Yeah there 225/45's all the way around...... i'm going to take it in for the fuel line recall and mention it and see what there response is. It doesn't set the VDC off under normal driving, but it doesn't give you any room to mess around either, and with it off it gets kind of tail happy.
If the car has a warranty, the warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. The wrong tires are not a defect, so that is out.
What is important is safety. I assume you have the same tires all around. Yes. This will play havoc with VDC/TCS. Visit the seller and approach it from a safety perspective. That should get the seller’s attention.
