Default Guys w/ 20s, look here:

Fellas,
I've ordered a new set of custom DPE R16 wheels in brushed aluminum w/ step-lip:

20x8 (front) w/ 245/35/20 -- +2.92% diameter
20x9.5 (rear) w/ 275/35/20 -- +3.23% diameter

I'd like to go wider, but they dont have anything wider with step lips. I'm still getting about a 4" lip in the rear, so I guess that's enough... but anyway, my issue right now is selecting proper tires.

I picked those tire sizes to get the rear OD bigger than the front, but the calculator at 1010tires.com is telling me anything over 3" and you run the risk of "brake failure." Uhh.... maybe this isn't such a good idea?

And if not, what setup do you guys recommend?

I had the exact tire set up with 20x8.5 and 20x10. No problems ever.

Is the car droped (springs/coilovers)?? if so you should try another set up in the rear like 275/30....I've been running on 20x8.5 245/35 front and 20x10.5 275/30 in the rear for some time now without a problem..

Oh yes, I guess I should also mention I have the Eibach 1 inch kit. I had to take care of that minimal wheel gap.
