Default Is Stern weight worth it?

I have been interested in getting new Stern ST-1 wheels but heard that they weight about 30-35 lb's a piece. And some people have even said that you will feel your car be substantially slower. Is there any truth behind that? Those of you that have Stern wheels are wheels that weight that much, did you feel any speed difference? And also how have they held up for you?

Any info would be great! THANKS!!!

Think of this.... If you run track, would you wear the shoes that weighs 10 pounds each or the ones that are a pound a piece?

Is it true that it takes more power to spin big heavy wheels than smaller lighter wheels? Lets think about it.
