Man... those FS-6s on Brads car are to die for. We are a relatively small community so I can almost guarantee now that many individuals up here in Seattle will have them

I talked to Vince this afternoon and I think I'm going to take the dive and go with 4" lip. It'll be a bold statement on a bold (Leman's Sunset) car. I'm not to excited about 10" wide rims but hey... i'll have the size I need for the FI to come...

So why aren't you guys tryin' the 4" lip? Too big for you??

If i could do it all over again, I would've gone for a 2.5 lip in the rear. The front lip, even though its 2.5, is very small, and the depth of the polished part (suposedly not the lip depth measurement) is only about 1-1.5"...where as the rear is a full 3" Dont go for the 4" IMO, go for a 2.5 or 3.

I ordered the 4" lip, but then called Vince and changed to a 3" because I chickened out. Not sure I want to be that radical.

Vince never got back to me as to whether or not they had already cut them, so I'm just gonna wait til they arrive to see if I get 3 or 4" lips.

why would you have gone 2.5", I thought you had 3", is that too deep for your taste???

I just ordered 3" rear w/ your same offset and 2.5-F with a +16mm Front offset.

4" LIP

4" is extreme but it's different! Kinda like my Lemans Sunset Z.

Anyway...

I'm still not 100% sure whether I'm going to do it... 4" is a lot of lip.

Boy seeing those pics, I really hope mine got changed to 3". All that bimmer needs is to have the wheels sit about 2" farther outside the wheel wells and it would look like a central american immigrant car.

Wow - is 3" really that bad Brad?
Based off your advice and looking at that BMW a few more minutes I am starting to change my mind hehe .

I would assume you'd also change the front end offset a bit cuz it looks shrunk in.

Yeah, the offset I got was the optimum fitment wise...but theres a little bit of playroom. Vince said he could redo my whels to push them out another few mm...but thats simply not worth it, and they look great allready.

When I took it to the dealer to get a new bumper, 4 salesman ran out of the dealership to look at my wheels, and ask about size, make ect. I finally had to push them off so I could get my damn bumper fixed.

brad, so my understandig is that since i also ordered a 2.5 inch front lip BUT a offest that sits out 9 more mm, my front lip will ACTUALLY be 9mm deeper??? does that sound right????

No, you will still have a 2.5" lip, the pad on the back of the wheel, (from the spokes to where it mounts on the hub) will just be 9mm shorter than Brads. From the front they will look identical.

actually it should be 9mm larger, since it will go OUT towards the fender more, BUT Vince said something about the lip being deeper since the offset is so much lower.
